About this policy
In this policy, “Remend,” “we,” and “us” refer to the provider of the Remend app and website. This policy applies to personal information processed by Remend. Apple, Supabase, and any other service you choose to use have their own privacy practices.
Remend is designed around a clear storage boundary. Your signed-in Remend data is kept with your private account. Images and information imported from Apple Health stay in protected app-owned storage on your iPhone.
Information Remend processes
Account information
Sign in with Apple provides Remend with an account identifier. If you choose to share them, Apple may also provide your name and email address, including an Apple private relay address. Remend also processes the display name and profile details you confirm in the app.
Information you create in Remend
Your account may contain goals, weekly plans, workouts, workout logs, an active workout draft, nutrition and hydration entries, check-ins, measurements, daily steps entered in Remend, reminder preferences, settings, checkpoints, and your Remend story.
Derived Remend progress
Remend may calculate weekly and monthly summaries from actions completed inside Remend. These summaries help present your progress and do not include imported Apple Health values.
Support communications
If you contact Remend, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, the nature of your request, and any diagnostic details you choose to provide.
Information that stays on your iPhone
Profile images, progress photos, Apple Health snapshots, Apple Health history, and imported Apple workouts remain in protected app-owned storage on your iPhone. They are excluded from device backups and are never included in the Remend account payload sent to Supabase.
Apple Health access is read-only. Remend does not write information to Apple Health. Apple Health information is not used for advertising, tracking, or marketing, and it is not sent to Remend’s account service.
How Remend uses information
Remend uses personal information only as needed to:
- authenticate your account and keep it available to you;
- load your signed-in Remend dataset as one complete experience;
- provide the features, plans, summaries, and settings you request;
- respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests;
- maintain the security and integrity of the service; and
- comply with applicable law.
Remend does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or use behavioral analytics.
Retention and deletion
Account information and Remend-created data are retained while your Remend account exists, unless a longer period is required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
You can delete the cloud account from You → Remend Account → Delete Remend Account. Account deletion does not erase device-only images or imported Apple Health information. To erase those items, use You → Erase All Remend Data. Removing the app also removes its app-owned local container according to iOS behavior.
Files you export are controlled by the destination you choose and are no longer managed by Remend.
Security
Account data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase row-level security restricts account records to the signed-in user, and Remend stores session credentials in the iPhone Keychain using device-only protection. Device-only information is stored in Remend’s protected app container.
No system can guarantee absolute security. If Remend learns of an issue that materially affects your information, we will provide notice when required by law.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can edit Remend profile information, prepare a data export, delete your account, or erase device-only Remend information from the You tab. You can review or change Apple Health access at any time in the Health app or iPhone Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Remend will not provide a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right, except where the information is necessary to provide a requested feature.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@remend.app. We may need to verify your account before completing a request.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, Remend will update the effective date and provide notice through the app, website, or App Store listing where appropriate.
